Easy 3D Fall Tree Paper Craft for Kids

Print out the template to make the «Autumn Tree» craft with children ages three to six, and gather the necessary supplies: children's scissors, glue, paints, and markers. The first page shows the outline of the tree trunk and an arc at the top with rectangle marks for applying glue. The second and third pages have straight strips with glue marks on both ends. These will be the base for the three-dimensional leaves. The template also includes outlines of fallen leaves and a wavy element to create grass, which makes the image complete and look realistic.

Print out the craft template on thick paper. The kit includes a sheet with the outline of a tree trunk and an arch with rectangle marks for gluing on the crown. It also includes sheets with strips, autumn leaves, and a strip for making grass.

Color the long strips and leaves in fall colors, using a combination of yellow, orange, and red. Note: Be sure to color both sides of the strips since they will be visible from the front and back.

Repeat the coloring of the stripes on both sides of the second sheet. Color the grass stripe at the bottom green. Also, color the tree trunk brown on the main sheet.

Carefully cut out all the colored pieces (stripes, leaves, and grass) along the outlines. After cutting out the grass strip, make vertical slits along the top edge to create a realistic effect.

Take the main sheet with the colored trunk. Apply glue to the marked area at the end of each strip, then glue the strips into the corresponding rectangle marks located along the outer arc of the crown. The stripes should be attached in the shape of sunbeams.

Twist each colored strip into a spiral three or four times. Then, glue the end of the strip inside the empty circle of the crown. Repeat this step with all the strips to make a big, fluffy crown out of the paper curls.

Glue the leaves near the tree to make it look like they are falling. Glue the green grass to the bottom of the trunk.

Your colorful, three-dimensional «Autumn Tree» appliqué is finished.
