Beach Ball Spatial Pattern Matching Game
The «Beach Ball» activity effectively develops preschoolers' spatial awareness, logical thinking, and fine motor skills. In the game, children arrange balls on a playing field according to a given pattern.
First, print out the game template. Then, cut out 15 balls and 9 pattern cards with squares. Children must choose a pattern card, analyze the arrangement of the shaded squares, and place the cut-out balls in the corresponding squares on the game board. Each square on the pattern card indicates the location of a beach ball on the game board.
Through this summer-themed activity, children learn to understand and apply different location information, such as top left corner, center, and bottom row. Additionally, copying the pattern requires high concentration and develops visual memory, analytical thinking, and the ability to follow an algorithm.
