Color Box Truck Sorting Activity

The educational game Color Box helps children develop spatial thinking, visual memory, and the ability to follow sequences. In the game, children arrange the boxes in the truck according to a color pattern.

Print out the game set, which includes a large image of an empty truck, eight colored boxes (red, green, blue, yellow, purple, orange, light green, and gray), and color pattern cards showing how to arrange the boxes in the truck. Cut out all the game pieces from a separate sheet and select a card with boxes. Show your child the color pattern card and explain that they need to arrange the boxes in the large truck exactly as shown on the card, following the correct color sequence horizontally and vertically.

This activity can be adapted for different age groups. For toddlers who are just learning colors, start without the pattern cards. Just ask your child to find the «red box» or «blue box» and place it in the truck. For older children, divide the color pattern cards into sets of four colors each. Show each set to the child for 10–15 seconds so they can memorize the sequence of colors. You can also replace the box cards with LEGO® pieces or wooden blocks in the corresponding colors to add a tactile dimension to the game.
