Animal Shadow Match Puzzle Activity

This educational game featuring animals helps preschool-aged children develop visual perception, logical thinking, and concentration skills. Children are asked to match colored animal faces to their corresponding gray silhouettes. This game makes children curious about the world of animals and helps them learn.

Print out the worksheets and cut out all of the colored animal faces along the outlines. Place the game board with the gray silhouettes in front of the child and ask them to look at it carefully. They should take a card with an animal’s face, analyze the color and shape of its ears and head, and find the exact match on the game sheet. Finally, they should place the colored picture in the correct spot.

To develop fine motor skills, we recommend cutting the animal images into separate rectangular cards with three animals on each card and using clothespins. Glue the cut-out animal faces to the clothespins so the child can attach them directly to the corresponding gray outlines on the strip with animal images.
