Find and Circle the Number Activity

These worksheets are designed to improve children's attention span, memory, and graphomotor skills. The task is to draw geometric shapes around the numbers according to the sample provided.

Print the worksheets in black and white, then use a marker to complete the task. This set includes two worksheets with the numbers 1–5 and 6–10. At the top of the page is a sample showing which geometric shape corresponds to each number.  Work with your child to complete the first row, and then have your child finish the rest of the worksheet independently.

Successful completion of this task requires a high level of selective attention. The child must keep two search criteria (number and shape) in mind simultaneously and quickly analyze the field. They can either search for and encircle only identical numbers or encircle all the numbers in each row one after another.
