Count the Stars Worksheets 1-20

The Counting Stars worksheets are designed for children to learn to count from 1 to 20 and strengthen basic math skills. In this activity, preschoolers are asked to count the stars in each box and write the number in the blank space next to it.

Print out the Preschool Counting to 20 worksheets and cut out the number cards on a separate sheet. There are two ways to complete the activity. You can write the number of stars in the cell or place the number card there.

Point to any box on the worksheet and ask your child to count the stars and write down the number. Depending on the way you choose, ask your preschooler to write their answer or put the number card on the page. The math worksheets are divided into two game areas: Counting to 10 and Counting to 20.

This math activity helps children understand abstract numbers. By counting specific objects (stars), preschoolers will better understand how numbers are made and how «quantity» and «number» are related. Working with numbers up to 20 is an important step in getting ready for school.
