Shape Puzzle Mix and Match Activity

The Shape Combinations worksheets are designed to develop logical thinking, attention, and comparison skills. The early childhood cognitive activity asks children to combine pairs of shapes into a picture.

Print the free PDF worksheets. On the worksheets you will find pairs of geometric shapes to be combined and several final shapes. Students need to look closely at the first pair of shapes and imagine what shape they might make when combined. Then they need to find the matching shape on the right and connect it to the pair of shapes on the left.

To make the task more interesting, you can play «shape detectives» and try to figure out which two shapes are hidden in one. You can also make associations with objects around you and ask about the child's favorite shapes.
