Autumn Patches Matching Activity
This matching game for preschoolers helps develop logic, spatial thinking, and visual perception skills. The task is to match the missing puzzle pieces to complete fall-themed illustrations.
Print out these fall worksheets, then choose one of the following two ways to complete the activity.
- The first way involves using a pencil. Children should examine the large pictures with empty white circles, visualize the missing piece, and find its matching piece among the numbered pieces on the right. Once they find the right piece, they should write the corresponding number in the box next to the missing piece.
- For the second game, first print and laminate the materials. Then, cut out all the round puzzle pieces on the right and attach Velcro to them and to the empty spots on the main pictures. Children can then match and attach the round cards to the corresponding spots. This activity provides tactile contact to help develop the child's fine motor skills.
