The «Five Senses» Velcro game is an educational tool that introduces children to the five senses and characteristics of the human body. Through this activity, children learn how we interact with the world around us through sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. It teaches children to analyze objects and phenomena, develops their logical thinking skills, and expands their vocabulary and memory.

Print the Five Senses Sorting Activity Sheets and cut out the six cards at the bottom of each page. Each card features a large, colored flower with one of the five senses in the center: an eye, ear, nose, tongue, or hand. Around this central element are empty spots that children will fill with cards.

Children should choose a card, look at the object, and determine which sense is used to perceive it. For example, we perceive a rose through our sense of smell, so this picture matches a picture of a nose. We hear a bird singing with our ears, but we recognize a prickly cactus by touch.
