Summer Worksheet: Where is the Fish Swimming?
The «Fish and Arrows» spatial orientation activity is designed to help preschoolers develop spatial awareness, logical thinking, and information analysis skills. The objective of the game is to place the fish in the water according to a given arrow pattern.
First, print the game template and prepare the game pieces. Cut out twenty fish and six arrow pattern cards. Use a laminator and Velcro. The game set includes a game board depicting an underwater world with slots for the fish, the arrow pattern cards, and a set of colored fish cards. The child chooses a pattern card and fills the game board with fish one by one. Explain that the color of the arrow indicates the color of the fish, and the direction of the arrow indicates whether the fish swim left or right.
