Helpful or Harmful Water Worksheet

This educational game teaches children about the important role that water plays in our lives. The cards illustrate situations in which water can be helpful or harmful. As they play, children develop their vocabulary, thinking, and reasoning skills.

Print out the learning material, cut out the cards, and shuffle them. Place two game sheets, one showing the benefits of water and the other showing the harms, next to each other on the table. Then, ask a student to choose a card and discuss how water affects the objects on it. For example: «Water can damage a book – the pages will get wet and tear,» or «Water is necessary for making soup.» The task is to sort the 18 cards into two groups.
