Harvest Fruit and Vegetable Color Sorting Game

The «Harvest Crates» sorting activity helps children develop color perception, classification skills, visual attention, and fine motor skills. Classifying objects by color helps children broaden their understanding of the world around them, recognize different colors and shades, and expand their vocabulary related to vegetables, fruits, and berries.

Print this color-matching game for children ages two to four. Cut out the twelve cards on each sheet. The game has nine color groups, each with four fruit, vegetable, or berry items. During the game, children identify the color of the crate at the bottom of the sheet, find fruits that match the crate's color among the cut-out cards, and place the cards in the empty cell above the crate. Each crate should be filled with four color-matching cards depicting fruits, vegetables, or berries. This game can help your child learn to distinguish primary colors (red, yellow, and green) as well as color shades (purple, blue, pink, brown, and light green).
