Winter Mittens Color Matching Game
The educational game Winter Mittens turns the learning process into a winter adventure. Children find it easier to grasp abstract concepts through familiar objects, which is why colorful mittens are ideal for this purpose. This activity teaches children to distinguish between primary colors and helps them develop visual discrimination, as some colors look quite similar.
To prepare, print the worksheets and cut out the ten mittens on the right. Then, use a laminator and Velcro or magnets. For the first few lessons with younger students, start with three basic colors, such as yellow, red, and blue. Once the child can handle them confidently, add more colors. In the game, children match ten mittens by color and fill in all the empty cells on the game board.
