Hedgehog Leaf Counting Activity
These worksheets are designed for preschoolers and combine several important areas of learning to help children practice counting to 20, learn colors, improve their fine motor skills, and develop creative thinking. The goal is to arrange leaves on a hedgehog's back.
Print out this fall math game for children ages 4–6, and cut out the game pieces: number cards, leaves, and color arrangement cards. We recommend using a laminator for repeated use and convenience.
The set lets you play two different games. You can adjust the difficulty level of each game to match your child's age and skill level.
- The fall math game. Have your child choose a card with a color scheme. The child must then find the leaves of the right colors and place them on the hedgehog's back in the right amount.
- The second type of activity is good for older preschoolers who are learning math. Here, choose a card with a number up to twenty. The child must then take the number of leaves that matches the number on the card and place them on the game board.
