DIY 3D Paper Mushroom Craft Activity
The 3D paper craft «Mushroom» is a creative activity that helps children develop spatial thinking, concentration, and fine motor skills. This simple template is perfect for fall activities at preschools or at home. The project involves coloring, cutting, and assembling.
The photo shows the finished craft featuring a large autumn tree, fallen leaves, and three 3D mushrooms growing on green grass. The creative process consists of several simple, easy-to-follow steps. All you need to do is print out the template and follow the illustrated instructions below. This 3D appliqué craft can be used as a classroom decoration, as a gift, or for an original fall exhibition at a preschool.
Instruction
Using colored markers or pencils, color in the elements on the page: the blue sky, yellow sun, tree, and green meadow with fall leaves. You and your students can choose any colors and coloring method.
Use scissors to cut out the background along the outer edge. Make a cut along the sector line at the bottom of the template.
Fold the piece in half along the middle horizontal line. Use glue to stick the «GLUE» section together. Then, attach the right side of the green lawn to the glued section to make a three-dimensional stand. To make it more stable, you can glue a piece of thick cardboard to the bottom.
Place the cut-out and colored elements from the second page of the fall craft template: You will need three red mushroom caps of different sizes, three white rectangular strips for the stems, and one green strip of grass.
Take a white rectangular strip, make a teardrop shape, and glue the edges together (see the mark «GLUE»). Make three different shapes. Each shape should be a different size.
Apply glue to the top of the shaped stem and attach a red mushroom cap of the corresponding size. Repeat this for all three mushrooms.
Take a green strip of grass and fold the bottom part labeled «GLUE» at a 90-degree angle.
Apply glue to the area marked «GLUE» and attach the grass strip to the front, curved edge of the base. Alternatively, you can cut the grass strip into smaller pieces and glue them near each mushroom.
Use glue to attach all the mushrooms to the meadow to complete this 3D mushroom craft project with preschoolers.
