The «Types of Sports» worksheets are designed to help kids expand their vocabulary, develop logical thinking skills, and improve their visual attention. The task involves comparing two types of images: realistic sports photos and corresponding stylized drawings.

Print out a set of cards featuring sports and then cut out the photos on the separate sheets. The set includes two playing fields, each with 12 sports.

The first worksheet features soccer, cycling, tennis, swimming, track and field athletics, basketball, rowing, volleyball, baseball, boxing, skating, and hockey. The second features archery, roller skating, fencing, surfing, rock climbing, karate, skiing, weightlifting, golf, diving, chess, and horseback riding.

Shuffle the cards and ask your child to match the photos with the corresponding illustrations on the playing fields. As you play, name each sport and discuss its characteristics and rules.
