Visual Grid Decoding Logic Activity

These math worksheets are designed to develop visual attention, analytical thinking, spatial orientation, and decoding skills in preschoolers. The task is to match graphic patterns (2x2 grids with black and white sections) to numbers.

Print these logic exercises for children ages 5–6 and have them get their pencils ready. The set includes four exercise sheets and one blank template sheet. At the top of each worksheet is a sample with numbered grids. Have your child analyze the sample grids, find the matching grids below, and write the corresponding number under each one.

You can use the blank template to create your own exercises. The template lets teachers and parents adapt the exercises to the child's level. For example,

1. Working with numbers in the second tens. Teachers can enter any numbers (e.g., from 11 to 20) and draw any pattern of shaded squares at the top.
2. Reverse task. Enter numbers in the boxes below the squares. The child's task is to color the appropriate sectors of the grid according to the sample at the top of the sheet.
