Bilateral Tracing Patterns Worksheet

These pattern worksheets are designed to help children develop both sides of their brains, as well as their fine motor skills and visual-motor coordination. Doing graphic exercises with both hands at the same time or one after the other helps preschoolers to make new connections in their brains. This improves things like concentration, knowing where you are and being able to control yourself.

Print the worksheets in black and white, then get started on the activity with your preschoolers. Children can start by doing the tasks with their strongest hand first, and then gradually use their other hand to get used to it. As an alternative, they can draw with both hands at the same time from the start. The set also includes a special blank template with a grid of dots. This allows parents and teachers to create new graphic combinations, make patterns more complex, or personalise exercises for specific skill levels.
