Fall Apple Seeds Math Counting Activity

The math game «Apple Seed» is designed to help preschoolers develop their counting skills up to 20. Using apple counting cards, children learn to match numbers from zero to twenty with the corresponding quantity of objects.

To prepare materials for a math lesson with a child aged four to six, print the file and cut out all the apple counting cards. Then, cut each card in half. One half of each apple has a number written on it, and the other half has the corresponding number of black seeds. The game includes a card with the number «0» to help children understand the concept of «none.»

The template includes black-and-white worksheets, which are great for saving ink when printing and for coloring with pencils.

Have your child take a card with apple seeds, count them, and find the other half of the apple with the corresponding number. Then, have them find all the matching pairs and count aloud up to 20.

You can adjust the difficulty by choosing cards for counting up to 5 or 10 only.
