Halloween Emotions Paper Slider Craft

The interactive educational game 'Halloween Emotions' is designed to develop children’s emotional intelligence, visual attention and observational skills. This Halloween-themed game helps children to understand their own emotions and recognise the facial expressions and moods of others.

Print out the game template featuring an orange pumpkin and a cute ghost. Special lines indicate where to make vertical cuts. There are also long paper strips featuring 12 different emotions, such as joy, sadness, surprise, anger, fear, shyness and thoughtfulness. The game set is easy to assemble. Make two vertical cuts with a craft knife or scissors, then thread the strips through them.

The objective of the activity is for the child to move the strip and observe how the character’s face changes. While playing, teachers or parents can ask children to name the emotions, demonstrate them with their own faces, or describe situations in which they might experience those emotions.
