Flower Feelings: Match Emotions and Colors Activity
This flower-themed preschool activity is designed to help children develop their emotional intelligence. This activity is based on the idea of social-emotional learning. It helps children recognize and name their feelings from an early age.
Print this set of worksheets to help children ages 3 and up match colors with emotions. Each flower on the worksheet has a different facial expression and petal color. Have children match each flower with the corresponding emotion and color and connect the matches with lines.
This educational game is also useful for developing language skills. During the activity, ask your child questions such as: «Why is this flower surprised?» «What color is the happy flower?» «When do you feel the same emotion?» These questions encourage students to think, analyze, and talk, and help them learn new words.
