The Acorn preschool activity is designed for children to learn to count up to 20, develop analytical skills, memory and attention. In the game, children are asked to count the number of acorns and arrange the cards on the game board.

Print out the math game sheets and prepare the materials for the class:

  • Cut out a set of 10 or 20 acorns;
  • Cut out fall leaves flashcards with numbers;
  • Choose one of the game sheets based on your child's age.

You can practice counting up to 10 with 3-4 year olds or up to 20 with preschoolers. Choose an appropriate game sheet with 10 or 20 acorn boxes and take the matching acorn cards.

Place any number of acorns in the cells on the game sheet and ask the student to count them. Then have the child choose a leaf card with the corresponding number and place it in the round cell at the top of the sheet.
