Earth Day Math Activity: Counting to 6

The counting activity on the Eco-Theme was created for preschool activities in Earth Day or Environmental Week. These math flashcards help children improve their counting skills and learn to be eco-friendly.

Print the Earth Day worksheets for kindergarten and cut out all the cards. Each card has objects that children need to count. Then, they choose the correct answer from the three sides of the dice.

The materials are also good for developing fine motor skills. We recommend using regular clothespins, which children can use to mark the correct answer. It strengthens hand muscles and prepares the hand for writing. To reuse the cards, laminate them and use a marker to write the answers. Because of the environmental focus, you can talk about important topics during class, like why solar panels are needed, why it's important to plant flowers, and why we need to sort the garbage.
