Cup Shadow Matching Activity for Preschoolers

The shadow matching game «Cups» is designed for children to develop visual perception, attention and logical thinking. The child's task is to find matching cups and their shadows.

The game is suitable for children from 3 to 5 years old. It promotes the development of shape analysis skills, fine motor skills, and also expands vocabulary as you discuss with the child what cups or drinks he or she likes and why.

Print out the game template in black and white and cut out the cup cards on a separate page. Invite your student to choose one of the cards, look closely at the shape of the cup, and find the matching shadow on the game board.

At the end of the game, you can also have the child color the cups, discuss the shape of each cup, and talk about the student's favorite drinks.
