The geometric tangram is useful for developing cognitive skills in preschool-age children. The task is to visually break apart a complete picture into its separate parts (geometric shapes).
Print out these logic tangram worksheets for children ages 4 and up and start solving the puzzles. The left column contains illustrations of various objects, such as vehicles, animals, plants, and household items. Each is drawn using basic geometric shapes. Have your child carefully examine the pictures and match each one to the corresponding set of shapes on the right.
By completing this activity, children will learn to recognize complex geometric combinations. For example, to find the matching set for the rocket, they will need to identify a large yellow square, a large blue triangle, and two small green triangles.
