Animal Mirror Reflection Matching Game
The Mirror Reflection Game is designed for children ages two to four. It helps them develop visual perception, spatial imagination, and an understanding of mirror symmetry. It helps children understand how an image changes when reflected in a mirror.
Print out the matching animals worksheets for kindergarten or home activities with your preschooler. The left side of each sheet features color illustrations of various animals, such as a bear, frog, cow, donkey, wolf, and giraffe. On the right are oval mirrors showing the animals' mirror images. The child’s task is to carefully examine the animal on the left and find its corresponding mirror image in the mirror on the right. Then, they should connect the two images with a line.
Turn completing the tasks into a story-based game called «The Magic Room of Mirrors.» Tell the child a story about how the little animals came to a magical mirror gallery to see themselves from the outside. However, the mirrors have mixed up their reflections. Then, invite the child to become a wizard who must find all the animals’ reflections.
